GOCA: The Greater Olney Civic Association

The GOCA meeting will have a number of speakers this month:

• A representative of the Montgomery County Division of Highway Services will attend in order to discuss street paving issues in Olney.
• The Police Department will be presenting a proposal for improving their bicycle program in the area.
• The owner of the property along Norbeck, where the golf driving range is now, will address proposals that replace the former plans by Winchester Homes for that site.
• Also Greater Sandy Spring Green Space will present an introduction to their programs in the community.
• Finally, we will be discussing the State Highway Administration’s response to a number of traffic and pedestrian safety issues that GOCA has brought to their attention and vote on the ambulance fee resolution.

The meeting will begin at 7:45 pm in the Community Room of the Remax Building (between Bank of America and Ricciuti’s – entrance to Community Room is on the Bank of America side next to Curves).
