Synopsis of December 14, 2010 GOCA Meeting

County Executive Ike Leggett spoke of the shortfall in the county and the structural changes he has made to streamline the government since taking office. He broke down the percentages spent in each area of the government, said all areas must be cut, and warned that cuts will continue into 2012.

Mike Greenhut described the county’s “Villages” blueprint plan to enable seniors to keep their homes and sought GOCAs support for surveys of Olney communities so the process can move forward here.

Elisabeth Deal of Olney Boys and Girls Club sought GOCAs sponsorship for a team, and Arnie Gordon wrote a resolution in support. After discussion , the resolution was tabled 10 to 8.
